Sports Night drabble: Inquiring Minds

Written for oxoniensis's porn battle January 2008; supposed grouping: Dana/Natalie/Jeremy (um, ew?!), prompt words: arrange, flower, wallpaper, whispered. I used them all, but not in any way the request was meant to go. I can't say this breaks my heart, as anyone who wanted those three in a relationship is unlikely to be a soulmate of mine.

Natalie tiptoed into the hotel room. "Jeremy," she whispered, "Are you asleep?"

Jeremy sighed. "Have you and Dana been drinking all evening, by any chance?"

"Never mind that." Natalie was rummaging around in the bathroom. "Can you move that flower arrangement off the table?"

"Why?" Jeremy asked. "Are you worried it might stain the wallpaper?"

"No," said Natalie. "Dana's found out that Dan and Casey are staying in the room next door. I thought if I put the water glass up against the wall, we can listen and find out if they're really fucking or not."

Jeremy dropped the vase.
